Update 2017. While we hoped we could revive this project it has not happened. If anyone is interested in taking over, please leave a comment.


Knit lots of hats and scarves for patients and survivors or breast and ovarian cancers to be donated to the Komen Foundation for the Cure, Philadelphia Affiliate. We fully support monetary fund raising efforts for the cure. But we also want to do something which will go directly to those who need to know there are people rooting for their health and survival. All skill levels are welcome!

Please join us! The 2011 project ends Sept. 15th.

Catching up with hats!

We've had some new submissions!

This beautiful submission comes from Rod. Rod works at Nangellini one of our sponsoring knitting shops. It is an absolutely beautiful hat.

Raija sent me this image a few days ago - she's got four hats of the second pattern! Aren't they fabulous? Thank you Raija!

And this gorgeous hat is from Terry. The story behind this one is special. Terry's niece requested that Terry make one for us in honor of her mother who passed from kidney cancer. This beautiful hat is an orange based yarn with lots of pink in it. The orange ribbon is for kidney cancer.
Thank you Terry - this is truly a special hat.
